New footage has revealed the last known sighting of Katie Ferguson.

Ferguson was last seen alive in , in early October during a cross-country trip with her two daughters.

Her family filed a missing persons report in early November - but the 33-year-old has still not been found.

She was travelling with her ex-partner Adam Aviles, 26, at the time of her disappearance.

The pair were last seen together on police body cam footage recorded on October 5 after their vehicle was approached by an officer at a gas station in Truman.

Ferguson can be clearly seen in the footage, sitting with the car door open rifling through snacks while one of her children can be heard crying in the back.

Aviles can be heard telling the child to be quiet and questioning whether the officer had the right to see his ID.

After asking several questions, the officer let the group continue with their journey.

"I started crying because I think that was the last time she was seen alive," Ferguson's older sister Nicole told CBS affiliate KTVQ.

"My mom thought she looked scared... I think she didn't look good. I think she looked like she was tired."

The same vehicle was pulled over separately just days later on October 9 with Aviles and the two children inside - but Ferguson was not with them.

The car, a Dodge Durango, was later found abandoned on November 4.

Officers found Clorox wipes, a full Glock pistol magazine with live ammunition, and, according to police, the smell of rotting blood.

“I can’t help but think if the police officer looked more into what was happening there, she (Ferguson) would still be with us,” Ferguson's stepmom Angela Ferguson said.

“We want to keep the momentum going so the search doesn’t ever stop until she’s found.”

Aviles has not been charged in relation to Ferguson's disappearance, but has been named a suspect in a homicide in federal court documents.

He was arrested on November 8 on unrelated ammunition charges and taken to Park county Detention Center, Wyoming.
