Fans and fellow castmates like host Jesse Palmer alike adored the woman from the first-ever season of ABC's Golden Bachelor.

“Every single one of these women came out of the limo, guys, they crushed it. So confident, so confident," Jesse said ahead of the show's premiere, which saw the franchise's highest debut viewership in years. “It’s just loving and nurturing women who have kids – a lot of them have grandkids – that’s just who they are.”

The women of the Golden Bachelor showed America that love – romantic, platonic and self-love – has no age limit. With age comes wisdom, and these women had a lot to impart throughout the season. They also stunned while doing so, defying expectations about how older women can and should dress.

Some of fans' favorite contestants pulled the curtain on their skincare and makeup routines and shared how these self-care practices boost their confidence. Here’s what they shared.

Joan Vassos

Gerry and fans alike were devastated when Joan, 60, sent herself home after her heartwarming one-on-one date when she got word that her daughter was experiencing pregnancy complications. The mother of four and grandmother of two believes that “you are only as old as you feel.”

While the private school administrator is full of life, her face has lost volume and radiance with age, which is why her skincare regimen is focused on moisturizing and her makeup routine prioritizes recreating that colorful glow. She also gets biyearly Opus fractional laser treatments, which she says “reduces tiny lines on her face and lightens her freckles and discoloration.”

Natascha Hardee

Natascha made fans laugh and cry all season long. The pro-aging coach shared teary-eyed sentiments about the privilege of aging, which is why it’s not surprising that she believes “age is just a number, not a limitation.”

The 60-year-old “midlife maven” shared that she takes care of her health through diet, hydration, exercise and minimal partying, noting that obesity runs her family.

“My goal was to age without illnesses or having to take medicine,” she shared.

She also shared that she has tried many treatments but her favorite is microdermabrasion, which “stimulates collagen production, revealing a fresh layer of skin that leaves your face looking and feeling fantastic.”

April Kirkwood

April also shocked fans for being so open with her sexuality. The 66-year-old shared that her goal each day “is to be the most attractive, caring feminine essence” of her “vibrant, authentic” self with a “humbleness and childlike wonder.” She does this by engaging in self-care, spiritual practices and gratitude ritualistically.

The therapist admits she gets botox and plastic surgery, as well as skin treatments including Morpheus 8, microneedling, platelet plasma and intense light procedures. However, she’ll never do it during Mercury or Venus retrograde because it’s “better to play it safe than sorry.”

Sandra Mason

Sandra shocked fans when she said she didn’t regret missing her daughters wedding for the show (as well as her humiliating farting blooper shown at the Tell All that host Jesse Palmer said surpassed the length of any fart he heard in the NFL locker room).

The 75-year-old has shared that she swears by these three rules to stay young, including staying active. The retiree likes to stay busy with hobbies, projects and shopping, so that she doesn’t break her golden rule of not sitting on the sofa until the end of the day.

She says she gets NuEra, a radiofrequency treatment that heats and stimulates her collagen to firm and tighten her skin, at her aesthetician every three to four months, which she says is “totally painless.”

She also swears by petroleum jelly to moisturize her lips and doesn’t leave the house without lipstick because she feels “incomplete” without it.

“I feel undressed and awkward if my lips are without color,” she shares.

Edith Aguirre

Edith was best known for her potentially flatulence-causing authentic guacamole, but the 60-year-old retired realtor also has some golden insight about aging and natural skincare.

The Mexican-American decided to embrace aging, and she says she’s “never felt more secure and beautiful in her life.”

“I think with aging, I really found myself, and I accepted myself,” the vixen shared. “I don’t have the tight skin, my hair is all gray, but that’s okay as long as you love yourself first.”

She shared how she makes her own face cream that cures her dry skin, which she makes with shea butter, aloe vera, olive oil and a bit of almond oil.

“I mix that, and I put that on my face, and that really gives me so much moisture,” she says.

She says she also gets Fraxel laser to stimulate collagen and get a “natural look.” She also just started getting botox after an indefinite break when her face “froze.”

Faith Martin

Fans were shocked when Faith Martin, who earned Gerry’s first-impression rose, was sent home after hometowns where the Golden Bachelor told the radio host that he loves her in front of her family.

Despite being blindsided and heartbroken, she is on the rebound and ready to accept the role of Golden Bachelorette if it is offered to her.

Similar to Edith, Faith has totally embraced aging. She says she has “earned the right to live life in a way that most suits” her, whether that means letting her hair go gray or wearing no makeup or getting Botox and fillers.

After a bout with skin cancer on her nose, the Washington resident swears by her Supergoop sunscreen. She also ritually mosturizes with body oils, vitamin E oil, coconut and olive oil. She also uses Tretinoin cream, “a prescription product to help remove brown splotches on skin or age spots.”

While she often opts to go makeup-free, she does like to get Botox on her frown lines and forehead. But, when she does wear makeup, she says she ditches foundation because it doesn’t look right on her aging skin but thankfully a good bronzer goes a long way.
