Golden Bachelor fans in disbelief as Gerry breaks 'numb' Faith's heart with final decision

The Golden Bachelor viewers were stunned to discover that Theresa Nist is through to the final two women.

Fans of the ABC show have been dying to know who was going to join Leslie Fhima in the finale, and sadly it was Faith Martin who had to miss out.

While many have deciphered a series of clues they think reveal who Gerry may or may not propose to, others have been cringing at how the 72-year-old has been on the show.

Last week's rose ceremony ended on a brutal cliffhanger, with Gerry running away and breaking down in tears before announcing his decision.

But at the end of tonight's The Women Tell All special, the viewers finally got to see Gerry give out his last rose to Theresa.

Faith confessed: "To try so hard and have it not work is devastating. I saw hope in my son's eyes. A piece of me thought it could work out."

Sitting down to chat afterwards, Gerry told Faith: "It's been a joy getting to know you, and you have a good heart."

But Faith admitted she was "numb" in her taxi ride home, adding: "It's going to be a while until I figure it out. Maybe it was all in my head.

"I felt like we connected on a level I was going to marry the dude.

"I wanted to much more for me and my kids. Maybe it's just not on the cards for me."

Last week, Gerry admitted he couldn't do it, and was seen keeled over in a doorway as he gagged and struggled to breathe.

He later told the cameras: "I feel like I'm going to throw up. I'm looking at two women who either one could be my partner for the rest of my life.

"Having to send someone home is gut wrenching. I'm dying inside a little bit right at this moment."

Golden Bachelor viewers were fuming last week when the episode ended on such a giant cliffhanger.

Under a Reddit thread titled, Golden Bachelor Post Episode Discussion Thread, fans began a discussion about the drama-filled episode.

One user @KennyFunkhouser fumed: "That should be illegal. Straight to jail whoever ended that episode without a full rose ceremony."

Another viewer @littlewoolhat agreed, penning: "Looked at the clock and said out loud "no f**king way."

As a third @fishinbarbie shared: "Bummed that it ended without the final rose."

We don't know which woman Gerry will choose, but he seems to be very happy with his choice.

While walking the red carpet at the Country Music Association awards on Wednesday night, Gerry hinted that, despite the drama fans are currently seeing unfold, he is delighted with the way things turned out.

“I wear a smile perpetually now,” he said. “I’m very happy about where things finished.”
