The Golden Bachelor's Sandra explains why she doesn't regret missing daughter's wedding

In one of the most shocking moments of The Golden Bachelor, recently eliminated contestant Sandra admitted she missed her daughter's wedding to be on the show.

Hometown Dates are Here - The Golden Bachelor: Week six preview

Gerry Turner may have said good-bye to Sandra Mason on the latest episode of The Golden Bachelor, but the 75-year-old retired executive assistant reveals she has “zero” regrets about missing her daughter’s wedding in order to compete on the latest spinoff in The Bachelor franchise

"My son-in-law said to me, 'Mom, the ceremony is eight minutes. The marriage is forever.' He said, 'Go. Go!'” Sandra revealed to Entertainment Tonight.

“My daughter, she said, 'Mom, I found my guy, you go find yours,'" Sandra continued.

"They were both a little perturbed that I was even considering not going because of their wedding. They'd each been married before. She's almost 51, he's 53. Dad, granddad. They're just great people. He's a jewel."

Sandra also admitted she didn’t take the opportunity to be on the show lightly.

After watching The Bachelor for years, when she saw the casting ad during the most recent season she thought, “Well, why not?”

She even asked her daughter to help her “wordsmith some of the answers.”

Sandra admits that watching the season back has been interesting to say the least.

"I watched the season and I smile and I cringe, and I smile and I cringe. It feels like, 'Oh, that's not a good shot of me. Oh, did I say that?'" she said. "All the should have, would have, could haves."

And just like her decision to skip the wedding and appear on The Golden Bachelor, Sandra’s family has been cheering her on the whole way.

"They're sending me articles where my name is listed. They're just cheerleading."

Sandra also admits that even though she only made it to the final six, she has no regrets about her time on the show.

"He didn't choose me," Sandra said of the retired restaurateur. "Obviously, his connections with my other sister wives was just a little deeper, stronger, more starry-eyed than my relationship with him. He followed his heart. Great guy. We got along... but it didn't turn into love on his part."

Gerry takes the final three on their Hometown Dates on the next all-new episode of The Golden Bachelor, Thursday, November 2, on ABC.
