My Life with the Walter Boys’ Cole has quickly won himself a legion of fans, although some have been left confused by his age.
The Netflix drama dropped on the streamer last week and has shot to the top of the most watched in the US.
It follows Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriguez) who leaves her New York life behind following the death of her parents and sister to live with her guardian Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) and her large family.
She finds herself in a love triangle with nerdy but sweet Alex (Ashby Gentry) and complicated Cole (Noah LaLonde), unsure of who her heart is with.
In the grand finale, after finding that Cole had fixed the teapot her late sister had given her, Jackie kisses him and the pair share a passionate moment in the barn.

How old is Cole supposed to be in My Life with the Walter Boys?
My Life with the Walter Boys’ Cole, according to Netflix, is meant to be 17 years old.
The actor behind Cole on the other hand is a lot older, as he was born on March 22, 1998, making him 25.
The fact Cole looks older hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans either who have taken to X, previously Twitter, to share their thoughts.
“I’m not buying the Cole is a highschool sophomore like this isn’t serious”, a subscriber wrote.
A second tweeted: “They should have cast someone that looks younger for Cole because it really looks like Jackie is falling for a 25 year old when he’s supposed to be like what 17 in the show?”

Another agreed: “I would be a lot more sold on this romance if Cole didn’t look like he was 35 years old.”
While a fourth added: “Is that Cole guy not too old to be in high school? And also competing with his younger brother?”
At the start of My Life with the Walter Boys, much like Jackie, Cole is at a crossroads in his life as an injury ends his football career.
He had dreams of getting a college scholarship but as he could no longer play, Cole was struggling with what to do next with his life.
This led him to find common ground with Jackie as they bonded over both of their recent life changes.
In the final episode, Jackie went back to New York to see her uncle with some concerns that she wouldn’t be returning to Colorado.
As of yet, Netflix hasn’t confirmed if there will be another series of My Life with the Walter Boys but seeing how it ended, there is hope for more episodes to come.
