DWTS' Charity Lawson gives Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner romance advice in public eye

Dancing with the Stars contestant and former Bachelorette Charity Lawson has some valuable advice for the first-ever Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner. 

Both reality TV competitions ended recently with fans stunned.

Xochitl Gomez was crowned winner of DWTS on Tuesday and Gerry chose winner and now fiancée Theresa Nist during the drama-filled season finale of ABC's hit dating show last month.

Now that Gerry has found "the one," Charity is being reminded of her time on The Bachelorette.

During the season finale of DWTS, she couldn't help but voice her concern for the new Golden Bachelor and his soon-to-be wife.

"My advice for them, obviously, now that they are public and going forward with their relationship, is to just spend as much time as possible really getting to know each other outside of … the camera world and what that bubble is," Lawson shared with Fox News.

"It is very different, and it's a different approach to how you have to adjust to it … also keeping your relationship private. Everyone doesn't have to know everything."

Lawson was the star of The Bachelorette season 20 this year and is engaged to Dotun Olubeko from her season on the show.

Before Gerry chose Nist, he told her and other finalist Leslie that he was in love with them.

Gerry ended up saying goodbye to Leslie Fhima and chose Theresa as his final pick.

Now, Gerry and Theresa have announced that they'll be getting married live on ABC on January 4, 2024.

With every aspect of their relationship being televsied so far, it's a wonder if Gerry and Theresa will ever be able to keep their lives together private as Lawson advises.

They've been busy planning their wedding with their daughters ever since Gerry popped the question in August, when the show was filmed.

They can't seem to wait for their special day because they've begun to reveal certain details, including their wedding playlist and possible first dance songs.

“I can just hear the joy in her voice when I talk to her and she's talking about whether it's a dress or a cake or flowers or whatever it is,” Gerry told People of Theresa. “It makes me so happy that she's having this much of a good time with it. It's like, what could be more fun?”
