Donald Trump mocked President Joe Biden when he spoke at a rally event in Coralville, Iowa, on Wednesday.

Trump, whose federal election case was paused today, used his time speaking at the rally to criticize his fellow Republican candidates, as well as Biden, who is currently being targeted by a Republican impeachment plot.

Trump said on stage in front of his supporters: "It's incredible [Biden] can be running anything. He can't put two sentences together. He can't find his way off the stage."

The former president then pretended to act like Biden on stage, looking confused and asking: "Where are the stairs?"

Trump's visit to Iowa on Wednesday marked his third trip this month to the Hawkeye state, where Republicans will cast the first presidential nomination votes in 33 days.

The former president, who has remained far ahead of his rivals in national polls and those of likely Iowa caucusgoers, campaigned regularly in the state throughout the fall, far more than in any other early-voting state for the 2024 Republican nomination.

Wednesday marks his 11th visit to Iowa since September.

The event is evidence of a more disciplined campaign focused on the mechanics of caucuses as Trump seeks the nomination a third time.

Trump will head to New Hampshire and Nevada - states that hold Republicans' second and third nominations - for events later this week.

The former president leads the Republican presidential primary field by around 40 percentage points in nationwide polling, according to CNN.

The latest polls show Trump holding 61 percent support, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 17 percent, and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley with 11 percent.
