Ivanka Trump and Kim Kardashian's friendship is causing a huge rift among their fans
Ivanka was seen in a glittering disco ball-inspired dress as she attended the opening of a grand hotel alongside celebrities such as Cher, Sylvester Stallone and - controversially for her fans - Kim Kardashian.
Ivanka Trump sparkled in a silver gown as she partied with celebrities to attend the opening of a Las Vegas hotel. The former First Daughter took to social media to post herself having fun at the Fontainebleau Hotel and posted pictures of herself with close friend Kim Kardashian.
This is the second time the women have shared pictures of themselves partying together on their social media pages, and their respective fans are not happy - despite the fact insiders say the two women have been friends for years.
Kim posted snaps with the former politcal advisor and mom-of-three at her birthday celebrations in October. A number of followers were shocked to see the daughter of Donald Trump at the festivities.
"Kimberley why Ivanka??" one fan wrote, while another said: "Ivanka’s people don’t even like your people though."
One referenced the reality star's new role in the American Horror Story franchise, posting: "Kim, so we’re just going to casually slip in Ivanka? We have been ROOTING for you in AHS: Delicate, so this was NOT the move."
"Ivanka? Yuck," another wrote, and another said: "Really Ivanka? The hypocrisy and disgust." But the feeling seemed mutual among Ivanka's followers on the social media app.

One commenter under Ivanka's most recent post with Kim wrote: "Uggg foul I can't stand Kim. Sad to see this." (sic)
"Ivanka we love you but Kim K and Hillary go together. Please drop the Ks," another wrote, while one said: "What's with Ivanka hanging out with liberals lately?"
One very strongly worded comment read: "Disappointed that you would associate with such garbage, shame on you."

While their followers and fans seem bemused by the women's seemingly new found friendship, according to insiders the women have been friends for years.
A source told Us Weekly: "Kim and Ivanka have been friends for years and have hung out on a number of occasions. They initially bonded nearly a decade ago at the Met Gala over motherhood and being new moms. But they continued to connect numerous times over the years."
The two's friendship was brought closer by the fact that Kim worked with Donald Trump during his presidency on prison reforms.
She successfully petitioned the former businessman and reality star turned president to commute the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a drug offender.
Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner later revealed in his autobiography Breaking History that it was Ivanka who had helped facilitate Kim's meeting with her father.
In October 2022 the women were spotted having dinner at the Beverly Hills hotel in Los Angeles.
Ivanka and Kim were celebrating the opening of a new hotel in Las Vegas. The former snapped some photos of businesswoman Julie Brawn, a reality star Jonathan Cheban as well as a few pictures of Kim Kardashian stating they were having a “ladies' night”.
She wrote: “It’s always a great time with [Kim].”
On Instagram, Ivanka also congratulated businessmen Jeffrey Soffer and David Grutman on their accomplishment of opening the new grand hotel, a massive 67-story tower with over 3,600 rooms and suites.
The former First Daughter was not the only celebrity to attend the occasion, as the guests included Cher, Sylvester Stallone and Breaking Bad actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston.
Ivanka has recently been spotted partying on several occasions in the past few weeks, sporting a black leather jacket and miniskirt to attend a Black Keys concert one one such night out.
She was spotted pretty in pink after attending a brunch to celebrate her friend, the fashion designer Maria de la Orden on her new spring collection.
The former political advisor was also seen wearing denim and a cowboy hat while attending the Country Bay Music Festival with her husband Jay Kushner.
Some people have suggested that Ivanka’s new outfits may be a sign she is taking a step back from politics to focus on her life as a socialite before her father Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016.
Mitra Ahouraian, an entertainment attorney, told Business Insider: “Although Ivanka has supported her father, even working for his various companies and in the White House, she has tried to distance herself from him in the aftermath of his presidency.”
Ahouraian added: “I’m not at all surprised that Ivanka has managed to re-engage with her social circles and establish herself as separate and apart from her father.”
