Ivanka Trump silent amid Donald's fraud case as Melania is totally absent from his side

The women in the Trump family have stayed very quiet during Donald's legal woes, while his sons have vocally defended the ex-president.

Trump's Georgia indictment 'much bigger than Watergate'

Unlike their brothers, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump have been radio silent regarding their father’s numerous legal issues, including the $250 million civil fraud trial he's currently facing.

Not only has Ivanka not spoken out about the upcoming trial - in recent months she has been enjoying vacations in Portland, Oregon, and wake boarding in Florida.

Donald Trump is accused of inflating his wealth by more than $2 billion to secure favorable bank loans and insurance, allegations he firmly denies. But this is not the end of his legal woes.

Trump was slammed with 13 criminal charges related to allegedly attempting to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia alongside 18 accused co-conspirators in August.

This chalks up the tally to four criminal indictments that the former US president and current Republican presidential nominee is facing. Three of the trials are slated to begin next March and April, however, the most recent Georgia trial has not been scheduled yet. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Ivanka broke her silence the day after her father’s first indictment in March, in which he was indicted by a grand jury in New York for his part in the hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in the lead-up to the 2016 election.

She said in a post on her Instagram story: “I love my father, and I love my country. Today, I am pained for both. I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern,” she added.

The brief and vague statement is the only time she has publicly addressed the situation.

It's a stark contrast to Donald Trump's presidency when Ivanka played an active and vocal part as his advisor.  She and her husband Jared Kushner served as his top aides during his time in the White House.

Ivanka, 41, has reportedly always had a close relationship with her father. However, since leaving the Oval Office, she and Kushner have kept a lower profile focusing on travel and charity.

Following her father's announcement about running for president in 2024, Ivanka issued a rare statement declaring that she would not be involved in the campaign.

She said: “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.”

She added in the statement: “I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”

An insider told the New York Post: "Trump thought he could convince Ivanka this weekend to come back and campaign for him as she was the most requested speaker after the president himself last time around … but so far she’s resisting his entreaties and holding firm, as is Jared."

An insider told People in late August: “[Ivanka and Tiffany are] used to not getting along but now they’re bonded over their shared trauma of being the most hated kids in America. Going through that experience with their dad as president was awful for them. They hated it. People were so cruel, especially about Tiffany’s looks.”

The insider added: “They want nothing to do with politics this time around, they never want to go through that again. They just want to chill in Miami.”

Ivanka has not commented on the newest indictments. His other daughter Tiffany, 29, has not commented on the indictments at all.

Unlike their sisters, two of Trump’s three sons Eric Trump, 39, and Donald Trump Jr., 45, have been very vocal in support of their father.

Following Donald’s first felony charge in March, Eric said that the indictment is “third world prosecutorial misconduct” and that it makes “a mockery” of the legal system.

In the wake of his father’s more recent charges, Eric said: “The nonsense that he’s faced over the last five months is transparent to every single American and will win him the White House in 2024.”

He added: “The more they indict, the stronger he becomes, politically and financially, for the campaign. It raises him a tremendous amount of money.”

Donald reportedly raised $7.1 million when his mugshot was released, Politico reports.
