A cleaner who has been struggling with stubborn limescale stains in their toilets for years claims found a solution that melts away the stains in minutes.

Even after relentless scrubbing, discolored limescale can stain a toilet bowl for years. This problem tends to persist in areas that rely on hard water supply, as this contains a higher mineral content.

When the liquid eventually evaporates from any surface in your bathroom, it leaves a trail of unsightly limescale stains that are notoriously hard to tackle.

Fortunately, the solutions are limitless - but some work quicker than others.

Sharing her discovery on TikTok, Tidy Trojans Cleaning found a product that requires “mininal scrubbing” when left to sit for a few minutes.

The cleaning enthusiast told her followers: “If your toilet has this orange limescale, all you need is some Bar Keepers Friend Toilet Bowl Cleaner,” the woman disclosed in the clip.

“I like to let it sit while I clean the rest of the toilet. I find it works best if you leave it to marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes so that it can really do its job.

This ensures that when you do scrub away at the limescale with your toilet brush, it just “melts right off,” noted the content creator.

For those unsure how long to let the product sit for, she wrote in the caption: “The secret is in the dwell time.

“Most cleaning products are meant to sit for a certain period of time before wiping or scrubbing! Make sure you always read the back of the bottle for dwell time and instructions.”

One viewer who was convinced to try the product, wrote: “Omg where did you find the toilet bowl cleaner?”

The poster responded: “Google the product and say ‘near me’! Usually can be found at Home Depot, target sometimes, other big box stores.”

To prevent hard water stains on your toilet bowl and other bathroom fixtures, adopting a consistent cleaning regimen is paramount.
