Luke Combs has apologized to a fan who was sued for $250,000 by his legal team.

A Florida news outlet reported that Nicol Harness had been selling unofficial merchandise featuring Combs’ likeness.

The singer’s legal team slapped a six-figure lawsuit on the fan, but Combs now claims he had nothing to do with it.

On Wednesday, the country star took to TikTok to apologize.

“It’s 7.27am here in Tennessee. I woke up at 5 a.m. to use the restroom, and the first thing I saw is this - a woman that’s being sued by me for $250,000,” he told his followers.

He went on to say he was “completely and utterly unaware” of the lawsuit until now.

Harness took part in an interview that was published in WFLA on Tuesday, explaining that she sold 18 tumblers for $20 each.

She claimed to have made a total of $380 from the sale, before being sued for $250,000 in an Illinois federal court.

Harness claims that the email explaining the lawsuit landed in her junk folder while she was in the hospital for congestive heart failure, so she missed the 21-day response window.

After revealing she had $5,500 locked in her Amazon account, the Grammy-nominated singer confirmed he would double that amount and send her $11,000.

"She was never supposed to be involved in anything like this,” he said. “No fan should ever have to be involved in anything like this.”

Combs also announced plans to sell a similar tumbler and donate the proceeds to Harness to pay for her medical bills.

When she returned home, she discovered that the money in her Amazon account had been blocked due to the legal action.

"It’s very stressful. I don’t have money to pay my bills,” she told WFLA.

“I just want this resolved. I didn’t mean any harm to Luke Combs. I quit selling the tumbler. I pulled it down. I just don’t understand.”

In his TikTok, Combs expressed he was “sick to my stomach” and spoke directly to Harness to try and set things right.

“Again, this is unbelievable. I was completely shocked,” he added. “It makes me sick. This is not something that I would ever do.

“This is not the kind of person I am. I’m not greedy in any way, shape or form. Money is the last thing on my mind. I promise you that.”

Finally, Harness and her family were invited to one of Combs’ 2024 concerts, where he’ll “give her a hug and say ‘sorry’ in person”.
