Julia Roberts reveals her 'kinship' with Patrick Mahomes and love for Taylor Swift

Julia recently stopped by SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show to discuss her admiration for Patrick. She's been watching a lot of documentaries, including the Netflix series Quarterback, which profiles Patrick, among other quarterbacks.

"It has changed my life, I think, because I'm a big football fan, but this has given me an insight, like, I have so much respect right now for Patrick Mahomes," Julia shared. "I don't know what to do with it. There's really not a place for me to put it on a daily basis."

Though she's a dedicated San Francisco 49ers fan, her newfound respect for Patrick has made the Chiefs her second favorite team.

Julia, a proud Swiftie, recently raved about Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The 56-year-old actress shared her experience of taking her family to see Taylor's The Eras Tour concert.

Overwhelmed with admiration, she posted a photo of Taylor on social media, captioning it with heartfelt words of love and gratitude.

"Taylor Swift, I love you. Thank you for being everything we ever needed! Ever," she wrote.

Julia's excitement was palpable on the show as she declared herself a "super fan" after Jimmy read out her Instagram caption.

Julia revealed that Taylor's music, particularly her 2020 song "Betty," is a staple on her Spotify playlist. She has a special connection to "Betty" because it shares her mother's name.

"I love 'Betty,' and my mother's name was Betty," Julia explained. "So, I particularly love 'Betty.'"

Jimmy then displayed a photo of Julia from a 2015 Swift concert, where she spontaneously joined Taylor and iconic singer Joan Baez on stage. Julia recalled that this concert was her family's first major concert experience together.
