Israeli forces have shared a video it claims shows dozens of suspected Hamas terrorists laying down weapons after their capture at a northern Gaza hospital following days of shelling.

The footage, shared on X Thursday, shows a line of men walking in single-file with their hands raised through an area piled with rubble, closely watched by IDF soldiers.

The next part of the recording shows alleged Hamas terrorists, now with their shirts removed, dropping their weapons to the ground, including assault-style rifles and ammo.

Soldiers from the 460th Combat Brigade of the 162nd Division, with members of security agency Shin Bet, carried out the operation to capture 70 terrorists in the Kamal Adwan Hospital near the Israeli border, the IDF said.

The hospital, in Beit Lahiya, has been surrounded by Israeli forces and under heavy fire for days.

The IDF said they found a building close to the hospital that they claimed was being used by Hamas.

Both sides exchanged fire, during which an unknown number of Hamas fighters were killed, according to the IDF.

Others were captured before being taken to the Shin Bet security service and Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 to be interrogated.

The reported capture at the hospital comes just days after videos and photos emerged showing around 100 Hamas detainees being rounded up by IDF troops stripped down to their underwear, with some blindfolded and with their hands tied behind their backs.

The images sparked concern from human rights activists about the humiliating treatment of prisoners by the IDF.

In response an Israeli military official said the IDF would change its arrest procedures.
