Paige Spiranac is not a fan of those on social media questioning her golfing ability. After the golf star posted a video of her sinking a hole-in-one on YouTube, almost immediately there was backlash on whether her shot was legitimate or not.

In response, Spiranac posted to X what she thought about the criticisms and comments she received regarding her shot.

"A bunch of comments calling my hole in one fake. It's real and spectacular," she wrote on X on Thursday. "But jokes aside anyone in the golf industry knows our careers would be over if we ever faked a hole in one video.

"No one would be dumb enough to risk that. We take pride in showing genuine reactions. The good and bad."

Spiranac also explained that two videographers were shooting at all times: One by the tee and the other by the green. She even posted footage of what the camera on the green saw when she nailed her hole-in-one as more proof that her shot was legitimate.

However, despite the evidence, there still were some users who didn't believe that Spiranac actually hit the hole-in-one. "The power of editing," one user said on Spiranac's post.

Despite the minority criticizing what they felt was a fake shot, an overwhelming majority of comments on YouTube and X were proud of Spiranac for hitting a hole-in-one in only 50 attempts. Additionally, it appears her shot was in response to those who questioned her skill with the club.

"Golf snobs-'She can't play' *Makes hole in one on camera*" one of Spiranac's posts said, seemingly calling out those who believed that she was feigning her golf skills. What's more, this isn't the first time the golf sensation nailed a hole-in-one.

In another post, Spiranac revealed that it is the fifth hole-in-one she's ever hit and second on camera. The first in front of a camera was alongside Gary Player, the winner of nine majors, in 2021.

This isn't the first time Spiranac shut down haters criticizing her golf skills and are just looking to hate on her. Earlier in December, Spiranac shared a video on X of her hitting golf balls at a digital range with the caption: "Most people forget I'm a scratch golfer."

A "scratch golfer" is a golfer who can play any course without the assistance of a handicap score. Upon seeing this, a user commented: "I think you need an alpha male to show you proper hip-clearing technique, Paige" in an attempt to get her attention.

A brief time later, Spiranac replied that she doesn't "take golf advice from guys" she can outdrive, prompting even more users to claim they can outdrive the social media star. Those comments did not go over well with her fans, as they lambasted those comments with statements of their own.

Overall, despite the hate Spiranac gets from some users, her over five million followers on her social media platforms are there to defend her and make sure those willing to talk mess to her better be prepared for the response they will get from either Spiranac herself or her fans.
