Paige Spiranac showered Dolly Parton with praise following the legendary country singer's halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys' convincing win over the Washington Commanders. Parton rolled back the years to belt out some of her biggest hits while playing a couple of surprise other tracks.

The 77-year-old took to the stage at the AT&T Stadium in Texas as part of the game's Thanksgiving celebrations. The day's earlier clash between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions saw rapper Jack Harlow perform, while the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks fans were treated to DJ Steve Aoki.

Parton proved to be the pick of the bunch, wearing a Cowboys cheerleading outfit while performing. The songstress belted out such classics like "9 to 5" and "Jolene", while throwing in a couple of Queen classics - including " We Are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You".

The Tennessee-born singer wowed fans, viewers and broadcasters alike in her revealing outfit - and Spiranac was one of those loving it. She took to X to post: "Dolly Parton is 77 and wearing whatever the hell she wants. I love her."

And it wasn't just Spiranac who was left awestruck by her age-defying appearance. CBS announcer and former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo could barely contain himself once the show had ended.

With a beaming smile, he said to commentary partner Jim Nantz: "She was wearing a Cowboys cheerleading outfit. You saw that coming didn't you. You said, 'I think she's going to go with a little cheerleading outfit tonight, and I was like, 'wow, pretty good'."

Nantz attempted to move the conversation on by asking Romo for a second-half prediction but his colleague wasn't quite ready to forget about Parton. He "She looks amazing, right? She's wonderful. Who doesn't like Dolly Parton?"

Nantz quickly replied: "She's absolutely an American treasure. And so are you."

Cowboys fan and host Skip Bayless was equally impressed, taking to X to post: "How about that Dolly Parton. Talk about dressing for the occasion. Now that is impressive."

While Parton's performance stole the show, some fans couldn't help but point to the irony of her singing "We Are the Champions" at the Cowboys home stadium. The team last won a Super Bowl in 1995, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers.

One user wrote: "Dolly Parton singing 'We Are the Champions' in a stadium or in front a fan base that hasn't seen a Super Bowl title in 25+ years is hilarious."

Another posted: "Dolly Parton singing 'We Are The Champions' at a Dallas Cowboys game when most of the players playing weren't alive the last time they won is certainly something."
