The retail giant has been trialing this cutting-edge tech at their latest warehouse.

After an online order comes in, the robots get to work, picking out the products and delivering them to a workstation where a human colleague checks everything over before shipping it off.

Muayad Bahaj, a Walmart Robotics system operator, said: "Kind of nice to see that it's not eliminating jobs.

"It's helping create more jobs and helping establish a more efficient system for everybody and it kind of makes everybody's life a lot easier."

Over the past year, Walmart has been pouring money into its warehouses and fulfillment centers, seemingly trying to take on Amazon's delivery services.

Earlier this year, they opened their biggest facility yet in Indiana.

"Indiana is proud to welcome this next-generation Walmart fulfillment center, which represents a significant investment in our industry and our people," said Ann Lathrop, chief strategy officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
