Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel has posted a touching tribute to his longtime friend Paul Walker.

Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel shared a touching tribute to Paul Walker in honor of what would have been his 50th birthday.
Diesel took to Instagram to share a picture of the pair from 2010, stating in the caption what this particular picture meant to him.
“For me this picture represents the moment I knew we would be brothers for eternity…the night before you and I went to Haiti… the passion and joy you had to simply help people,” Diesel wrote.
“The world isn’t the same brother… as a species, one might say we are struggling. But I think of you, and I smile and know everything is going to be alright,” the caption continued.
“I miss you… I love you, and I will continue to honor the beautiful soul you are."
Walker and Diesel's friendship was a bond that went well beyond the silver screen.
Their connection began on the set of "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001, where they portrayed best friends Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner and this on-screen camaraderie blossomed into a genuine friendship off-screen.
Tragically, Paul Walker's life was cut short in 2013 when he lost his life in a car accident at the age of 40.

After Walker’s death, Diesel stepped up as a father figure to Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker.
Vin and Meadow's connection was not only maintained but strengthened, with Vin's partner, Paloma Jiménez, and their own children becoming an integral part of Meadow's life.
Diesel told Extra about his continuing role in Meadow’s life, “The whole point of the Fast and Furious saga is the idea that brotherhood can be created by bond and not necessarily blood.”
Meadow, despite the immense grief of losing her father, has admirably kept his memory alive, she has engaged with fans, posted tributes, and stayed connected with those who were important in her father's life.
Diesel has played a pivotal role in supporting Meadow throughout this journey, serving as a guiding light and protector of her father's legacy.
“We’re all mortals, but love is immortal,” Diesel concluded about the strength of the family bond he continues to share with Walker, even after his death.
