Singer Usher plans to add pole dancers to his upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, but some fans might not enjoy it.

Usher has big plans for his halftime show.

The has announced that the singer will be headlining one of the most watched events on television.

Still, some are concerned that Usher will bring one of his favorite stage elements — stripper poles.

The DJ Got Us Falling In Love singer regularly includes exotic dancing in his performances, including at his Las Vegas residency, and dancers have even been known to “steal the show.”

However, Usher allegedly is thinking about keep things more PG.

“Usher plans on having… pole dancers — dressed in a tasteful manner, of course as well as dancers on roller skates,” a source said of the preparations for the upcoming performance (per Page Six), “He is definitely keeping in mind that his younger fans will be watching.”

“[He] just wants to set himself apart and make history as one of the greatest performers to hit the world stage,” they added, “Beyoncé, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Prince and Michael Jackson have all made memorable moments and now that Usher is taking the stage he wants to do something different, unforgettable and over-the-top.”

Many viewers have not been pleased when other halftime shows turned dirty.

Tons of complaints came in after Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson’s nipple during their 2004 performance, and after M.I.A. flipped viewers the bird during the 2012 show.

Usher received a motivational call from fellow performer and “big homie” Jay-Z after being booked for the event.

“When I got this call, he said, ‘It's time, it's magic time. You know, it's time for you to have that moment’,” he recalled.

Initially, it took Usher a moment to realize what Beyoncé’s husband was referring to.

“I'm like, ‘What are you talking about?’ He's like, ‘The Super Bowl,'” he told Apple Music 1 DJ Zane Lowe.

Usher teased his upcoming performance by confirming he’s prepared to do something he’s always dreamed about doing.

He told Jay-Z: “Oh, you ready? Absolutely.”

The singer is already very busy with a Las Vegas residency, but says his halftime show was “destined to happen."

“I think that everything that led up to that moment, going to Las Vegas for my residency for the last two years,” he told Lowe. “The legacy, obviously, that is the music, the celebration of entertainment in that place. It's the City of Lights.”

“You know, it's always been a place where entertainers go and find love and passion, connection to their fans. So for the Super Bowl to have made its way to Las Vegas while we were in Vegas, having such an amazing two years…' 

“It is definitely going to be a moment to remember,” he added, before saying the halftime show “has been on my bucket list for a long time. This is the most grand stage to ever play on. Those 13 minutes mean everything.”

Usher will undoubtedly stun fans during the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII halftime show when it airs on February 11, 2024 on CBS.
