Usher isn't thrilled about taking a back seat in the limelight.

The vocalist recently revealed he's set to take the stage at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, only to find his news eclipsed by Taylor Swift.

Taylor caught public attention by enthusiastically supporting the Kansas City Chiefs from an exclusive VIP area.

This followed speculation that she's romantically involved with Travis Kelce who will now be known as Traylor.

The buzz around Taylor's appearance swiftly dominated online chatter, relegating Usher's significant update to a secondary status.

An inside source told the Daily Mail that Usher was momentarily disheartened when the spotlight shifted towards Taylor and Travis.

Yet, he acknowledged that media focus is beyond his control and is now zeroing in on delivering an unforgettable performance.

"Usher was a bit disappointed that his announcement was and has been overshadowed by all the Taylor and Travis news," the insider dished.

Regrettably for Usher, Taylor's first foray into the NFL realm is not the sole obstacle he's confronting concerning the halftime event.

Usher wasn't the initial choice to headline the grand spectacle scheduled for February 2024 in Las Vegas.

A few weeks before Usher landed the role, insiders suggested that Taylor had been initially approached to headline the show.

However, she turned down the opportunity, citing her overloaded schedule.

Gossip also circulated that Lizzo had been considered for the role but was later ruled out due to her latest controversy.

Usher seems unfazed by all the hubbub surrounding him.

An inside source noted that Usher is aware he wasn't the event planners' initial pick but is eager to demonstrate that he's the perfect fit for the job.

Having recently enjoyed a successful Las Vegas residency, he feels confident in his performance skills.

"He has no problem proving himself and if people think he is going to be bad, he is looking forward to proving wrong all the haters," the source dished.

"This opportunity is incredible, and Usher is looking forward to making it very memorable."
