Travis Kelce reacts to Taylor Swift visit as pop star sees best and worst of NFL

After being spotted in London with her good friend Blake Lively, Taylor Swift flew to Wisconsin to see Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. While she was able to watch her partner play in person once again, Swift also saw the worst the NFL has to offer with two gruesome injuries in the Chiefs' 27-19 loss to the Packers.

With Swift in attendance, Kelce and the Chiefs were 4-0, having won games against the Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and Denver Broncos. Because of how her schedule has been, with Swift being on the South American leg of her "Eras Tour" the last month, the last game the 33-year-old was able to watch in person was the Chiefs' win over the Chargers on Oct. 22.

However, it was a different story for Swift in Wisconsin as it seemed like Green Bay's defense stifled Kansas City's offense at every turn. Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was limited by the Packers' defense, throwing one touchdown and an untimely interception in the fourth quarter. He finished with 210 yards and completed 21 of 30 passes in the Chiefs' first loss with Swift in attendance

Meanwhile, Kelce performed just below his standards with Swift in attendance. Against the Packers, Kelce had four catches for 81 yards, good for an average of 20.2 yards per catch with no touchdowns or fumbles.

Typically, with the pop sensation in the stands, Kelce has averaged 108 yards per game. That's good for 12.2 yards per reception and the Chiefs have won by an average of 14.8 points. Overall, Kelce has 34 catches for 432 yards in those four games.

Without Swift watching in person, Kelce's production drops precipitously. Although the Chiefs are 4-2 in games Swift does not attend, Kelce has 36 catches for 300 yards, good for 50 yards per game. He also hasn't topped 100 receiving yards in any games not attended by Swift.

What's more, Swift was a witness to Bryan Cook's gruesome ankle injury early in the third quarter. As the Packers were running the ball along the sideline, Cook attempted to stop running back AJ Dillon by lowering his shoulder and aiming for Dillon's body.

In doing so, Cook - the Chiefs' safety - collided with Dillon and two crumpled to the field, with Cook taking the brunt of the impact. After the play, the 24-year-old immediately grabbed his left ankle and remained on the ground for an extended period of time, with both Chiefs and Packers players taking a minute to gather themselves.

Upon review, it appeared as if Cook's ankle bent the wrong way under his and Dillon's weight. Cook eventually was carted off the field and he was spotted with tears in his eyes as he was brought back to the locker room. Though Kansas City announced that Cook was questionable to return, it was clear that the 24-year-old would not be.

For the Packers, wide receiver Christian Watson suffered his injury with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. After catching a pass from Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love, Watson sprinted to the sideline in an attempt to get away from the Kansas City defenders.

As he ran, he grabbed his right leg and kneeled on the field. Once the play was considered dead, Watson lay on the grass and needed assistance walking into the medical tent as the Packers went on to win the game without Watson.

In the end, the Packers' defense was able to contain Mahomes and Kelce in clutch time. And though Swift was there for the first time in over a month to watch her star boyfriend play, it ended in a result that surely neither Swift nor Kelce was expected or wanted.
