Tom Sandoval admitted to feeling “defeated” before being branded “pathetic” by the no-nonsense ex-Special Forces operatives.

The reality star opened up about being embroiled in a recent controversy when he was caught cheating on his girlfriend of nine years Ariana Madix with her best friend Raquel Leviss

The trio starred in Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules where he caught having an affair, which shook the show’s fanbase so much the cheating scandal was called “Scandoval.”

After an intense challenge, Tom confessed: “I felt so defeated out there,” before being called into a meeting for questions with the instructors.

As he fought back tears, the star explained: “I've had a hell of a past three months, I had an affair with another woman. She was also on the show. It just was the perfect storm.

“Like my publicist had never seen anything like it. F**king reality star having an affair on CNN. It's so stupid.”

He continued: “It became this 'Team Ariana' thing. They sold $200,000 in merchandise in two weeks.

“Seeing people I've been friends with for well over a decade just turned on me. It was just so exhausting.”

However, Tom failed to pull on their heartstrings and was told: “Trying to play the victim makes it look pathetic,”  Mark 'Billy' Billingham, ex-SAS Sergeant Major added: “You are not a victim. You created this.”

The former SBS operator, Jason 'Foxy' Fox interjected: “The first thing you should be doing is owning it.

“In the job that we did, we cannot blame someone else. We have to own it quickly because if we don't, people will die. They have died.”

Tom responded: “I think when I explain things it would come across as not taking accountability. I handled it like a coward. And I should have done the right thing.”

This was one of the many tough truths the reality star was faced with, as his task earlier in the episode left him with a bloodied face.

He took part in an exercise in which the remaining recruits were tasked with fighting each other in one-on-one combat.

Tom was paired against Bachelor star Nick Viall and was declared the winner despite continuing to throw punches after being told to stop.

He then faced off Jack Osbourne, who struck him in the face causing Tom’s nose to bleed, and after their combat Jack was declared the winner while Tom was named the loser.

The 40-year-old became overwhelmed with emotion back at camp where he sought privacy in the outdoor bathroom.
