The Masked Singer’s Royal Hen unmasked as Billie Jean King–and viewers are in disbelief
The Masked Singer viewers were left stunned when they learned the identity of The Royal Hen on Elton John night.
Another celebrity has been unmasked on Season 10 of The Masked Singer, and viewers were left stunned when the identity of Royal Hen was revealed.
The FOX show revealed the celeb behind the mask’s identity during the Elton John tribute week, and Royal Hen performed the song Philadelphia Freedom.
Despite a great performance though, the celebrity failed to receive enough support from the audience, and was voted out after their performance.
It was then that they removed their mask to reveal their identity.
As it turns out, the person behind the costume was tennis legend and activist Billie Jean King.

The reveal was shocking to viewers, who didn't expect the Presidential Medal of Honor winner to be on the show.
"No spoilers but I am extremely ashamed I did not guess who was eliminated on The Masked Singer tonight," one wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
However, one person not surprised was Ken Jeong, who actually guessed correctly. Fellow panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger were all wrong, guessing Gloria Steinhem, Rita Moreno and Dr. Ruth. Fans also shared that Jeong's streak of correct guesses are actually what's most surprising.
"The Masked Singer Season 10 is proof that something's wrong with the Matrix. Ken Jeong keeps on getting the unmasked singers right almost every week," a fan wrote.
Of course, prior to the episode, many had ventured guesses that the celebrity in the costume was King, as the song she performed was actually written for her.
In addition, they felt the costume choice was similar to one that was supposed to be seen during the show’s 9th season, but the star backed out after getting COVID.
“My guess is that it’s a legendary elderly woman under that mask and was going to appear in Season 9 before getting Covid and asked to make adjustments to the costume because she didn’t like the previous iteration,” one fan commented on a Youtube video of the performance.
“I’m still wondering if royal hen is the celeb whom was supposed to be French Hen last season,” another chimed in.

Now that she has been unmasked, King joins the other celebrities as the fourth whose identity was revealed thus far on the series’ landmark 10th season.
Black-ish star Anthony Anderson was the first to be unmasked as the Rubber Ducky on the season premiere.
Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval was the next reveal as The Diver, while Michael Rappaport was also unveiled as The Pickle.
