The star of the show on any Thanksgiving Day, your Turkey should melt in your mouth. And it’s very possible with one woman’s recipe. Mariam (@mxryium) is a home cook with a big following on social media thanks to her viral recipes. She shared a Thanksgiving turkey recipe that will ensure people are coming back for seconds and thirds this Thanksgiving.

Speaking of the juicy recipe, Mariam said: “Today we’re making in my humble opinion the best Turkey that you could make this year. It’s extremely juicy and so tender that it literally falls off the bone.

“And I honestly love it a good ten times more than my recipe last year, so this is how I made it.”

Here’s how to replicate the recipe for your own turkey.

Begin with your brine on the day before you want to serve. Grab a large pot that can fit your turkey and fill it up about three-quarters of the way with water.

Add one cup of kosher salt, one cup of packed brown sugar, a one-fourth cup of vinegar (white or apple cider), the juice of two oranges as well as the peels, the juice of one lemon plus the peel, a one-third cup of peppercorns, as well as fresh sage, a bay leaf, thyme and rosemary.

Bring it to a boil and then let it cool before you add a 12-pound turkey in. Once you’ve added your turkey, cover your pot and set it in the fridge overnight.

Heading into the next day, you can get started on making the compound butter that is a key player in this mouthwatering turkey recipe.

To make the compound butter use three half sticks of unsalted butter, 15 cloves of minced garlic, fresh thyme, sage, finely chopped rosemary, a tablespoon of onion powder (which can be adjusted to your liking), half a tablespoon of smoked paprika and two tablespoons of seasoning salt.

Make sure you mix very well to ensure everything is well incorporated and set it to the side.

Rinse the brine from the turkey, separate the skin from the meat and begin stuffing your compound butter you just created inside the skin of the turkey as well as on the outside of the turkey. Garlic butter can be added in the turkey as well.

Throw some seasoning – smoked paprika, seasoning salt, adobo (optional) – to your taste on top of the buttered turkey. Make sure you rub in your seasonings.

Stuff your turkey with whatever you’d like and tie the legs together. Bake at 400 degrees for about two and a half hours.

While it’s cooking, inject it with the juice that falls to the bottom of the roasting rack every 30 minutes.
