In a TikTok video by Kathleen Ashmore, who goes by katcancook online, she explains five easy hacks anyone can implement ahead of time to make their Thanksgiving not only delicious, but as stress-free as possible.

First up, she suggests buying eco-friendly takeout boxes so you can give all your guests leftovers, rather than putting it in your own tuppaware that you'll probably never see again.

That way, everyone can stock up on as much leftovers as they want before they hit the road, and you get to keep all your own storage tubs.

Next, Ashmore suggests setting your table a day or two before Thanksgiving, so that on the day of you can "be focusing on the most important thing - food". This is also a good way to check you've definitlely got enough plates and cutlery for all your guests.

Next up, gather your serving platters and utensils ahead of time and put them out so you know you've got everything you need. Then stick post it notes on them all to label which food is going on which dish.

The next hack does involve a quick Amazon purchase as most people don't have one of these lying around, but Ashmore suggests buying an insulated pizza delivery bag to keep food hot for longer, because there's nothing worse than serving your guests lukewarn mashed potato.

Her fifth and final tip is to "think outside of the oven". Since it's virtually impossible to fit all your Thanksgiving dishes in the oven, Ashmore reccomends using appliances like a slow cooker as well.

A slow cooker is great for mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and stuffing, and can be left out of the way so you have more room on your countertops and in your oven.
