Teenage girl kills one as she storms school with her dad's shotgun during class

The 14-year-old girl sneaked the gun into the Bryansk institute in southwest Russia and opened fire during a science class.

A teenager killed a classmate after she opened fire on a class with her father's shotgun

The 14-year-old girl, identified only as Alina A, also injured five other students before taking her own life at Gymnasium Number 5 in Bryansk, 235 miles southwest of Moscow, Russia. She was also a pupil at the school.

Local reports suggest she sneaked her father's hunting shotgun inside the institute before targeting her first class of the day.

She is then alleged to have moved in between classes with the gun, which she had concealed inside a backpack.

Police were called in but the girl is believed to have then turned the gun on herself before they could reach her.

According to Russian outlets, they are now investigating the causes of the rampage – suggesting it might have been the result of her being "bullied."

Photos from the scene, which the Daily Express has chosen not to publish, captured the devastating aftermath of the shooting – with blood seen smeared over floors and walls.

Speaking to local media, one student said: "Everything was normal until the second lesson. The police came, the ambulance. That's it.

“The girl carried a shotgun in her rucksack and shots were heard in the second lesson."

Another student added: "We were just sitting in English and heard gunshots.

“We panicked, started closing windows, putting desks on top of each other."

In a statement issued following the shooting, Bryansk's Ministry of Internal Affairs said: "Today the police received a report of a shooting at gymnasium No. 5 in the city of Bryansk. Police officers immediately went to the scene.

“According to preliminary information, one of the students brought a firearm into the gymnasium building and fired several times, as a result of which three people were injured.

“After this, the girl committed suicide. The motives and circumstances of the incident are being established.”
