Taylor Swift has opened up on her feelings towards critics who have disparaged her famed appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games amid her romance with Travis Kelce. The pop sensation's unwavering support of her tight end beau has seen her attend five NFL clashes this season.

Swift witnessed her new love's team lose for a first time in her presence as the Chiefs fell to a 27-19 defeat against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Dec. 4. The 'Anti Hero' hitmaker had jetted back to Missouri to be with Kelce briefly following an appearance in London at a premiere for Beyonce's concert film only days prior.

She then soon boarded a private jet from Kansas City to Green Bay alongside her new best friend Brittany Mahomes. Swift headed to the Packers' stadium alongside the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, watching the action unfold from the arena's VIP Box.

Prior to this, she attended four other Chiefs encounters - with three of her crowd appearances coming at Arrowhead Stadium. The 'Cruel Summer' chart-topper also brought a cabal of A-List stars with her including Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively to watch the Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium previously.

Now, after being named by Time Magazine as their fabled 'Person of the Year' for 2023, she has given her reflections on inadvertently becoming a regular subject of attention from broadcasters at NFL games since September. The 33-year-old singer admitted that she is often unaware of the spotlight that has accompanied her appearances.

"I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in, she confessed to Time. "There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.

"I’m just there to support Travis, I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p***ing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads," she said as she revealed her newfound love of the sport amid her romance with Kelce, adding: "Football is awesome, it turns out, I’ve been missing out my whole life.

"By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple," the 'Anti Hero' singer revealed to put any speculation about the timeline of their relationship to bed. She continued: "I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.

"When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other."

Swift added: "This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other."
