Taylor Swift's recent New York outing has sparked online speculation that her outfit was a tribute to the beloved TV show Friends, particularly channeling Jennifer Aniston's character, Rachel Green.

Swift, known for her chart-topping hits and recently re-released album 1989, was spotted with celeb pals friends including Sophie Turner, Selena Gomez and Brittany Mahomes in a chic ensemble that fans quickly linked to the sitcom's fashion.

Swift, 33, was also joined by Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne for the night, and donned a dogtooth checkered miniskirt, black top, and thigh-high boots, mirroring an outfit worn by Aniston on Friends.

In the series Rachel was seen wearing the outfit in the finale, when she got off the plane to choose Ross (David Schwimmer).
