Kelly Clarkson revealed that she gets a special gift from Taylor Swift every time she releases an album.

The talk show host made the sweet revelation to E! News, talking about the flowers and cardigan she got when 1989 (Taylor’s Version) dropped.

The 41-year-old shared: “She’s so nice, she was like; ‘Every time I release something…’

“I love how kind she is.”

The Since You Been Gone hitmaker also gushed over Taylor’s business mind, applauding the way she has rereleased her master records in order to get full ownership of her music catalog, dubbing her the “best-selling artist like of all time now”.

Despite praising the “loophole” Taylor found, Kelly may be getting the special gifts because she was a driving force behind Taylor’s re-records, as she was one of the first to mention the idea in 2019 on X, then known as Twitter.

She wrote, after infamous music producer Scooter Braun purchased Taylor’s former label and in essence all of her music: “Just a thought, U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don’t own the masters on exactly how U did them but put brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions.

“I’d buy all of the new versions just to prove a point.” (sic)

Kelly’s words have played out almost like a prophecy, with Taylor’s army of fans often slamming those that still listen to the Scooter-owned tracks.

The two iconic pop stars have been longtime pals, having risen to fame alongside each other during the era of Pop Princess Powerhouses like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.

While Kelly has let music take a backseat in her career, focusing more on her popular chat show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Taylor has just kicked off the international leg of her Eras Tour.

The 33-year-old Midnights hitmaker touched down in Argentina this week, without her beloved beau Travis Kelce, to start a string of shows across South America throughout this month.

Taylor and Travis will likely be reunited quite soon in the NFL star's new home as once the Grammy winner finishes the South American leg she has 10 weeks off before resuming the tour in February for the Asia and Australia segments of the tour.
