Taylor Swift 'replaces' one of Brittany Mahomes' friends as she attends Chiefs game

Taylor Swift replaced one of Brittany Mahomes' longtime football friends at Sunday's NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Brittany, the wife of Kansas City's star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, used to sit alongside Paige Buechele in a plush Arrowhead Stadium box.

However, after Paige's husband, Shane Buechele, was traded to the Bills, the friends will be on opposite sides of the stadium. But luckily for Brittany, she is now joined in supporting the Chiefs by superstar singer Swift, who is the new girlfriend of franchise tight end Travis Kelce.

The pair have spent a considerable amount of time together at games as well as hitting the town in New York City. They also hung out with Paige Buechele, but instead of being reunited in the Chiefs box, they'll be on different sides.

Swift first appeared at Arrowhead in late September to support Kelce alongside his mom, Donna Kelce. Kansas City defeated the Chicago Bears and Swift has since attended more games but witnessed her first defeat, a 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field last weekend.

The 12-time Grammy Awards winner returned to Arrowhead on Sunday for the crucial game against the Bills with rumors claiming Kelce could propose next week on her birthday. A bombshell report in Life and Style quoted an insider as saying: "Travis has something special planned. He's arranged a very intimate romantic dinner just for the two of them, and is also trying to pull off a semi-surprise party with the help of some of her closest friends. There are whispers that he could use the opportunity to propose — that's what everyone, including Taylor, is hoping for!"

September to December appears to be a quick turnaround to get down on one knee and pop the all-important question. But Swift let fans know that she and Kelce were dating long before her September Arrowhead appearance and were an official couple before that first showing.

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told Time Magazine. "We started hanging out right after that.

"So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Swift also admitted that she has missed out on football in her life before meeting Kelce. She added: "I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p*****g off a few dads, Brads, and Chads. Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”
