Taylor Swift's 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has set a new record for her highest first-week album sales to date.

It soared to the top of the Billboard 200, amassing 1.653 million equivalent album units.

This achievement surpasses her prior record of 1.578 million for Midnights, released just a year earlier.

In its debut week, this version outperformed the original 2014 1989 from Big Machine, which had a remarkable opening with 1.297 million units.

The new rendition marks a significant milestone, besting even the initial success of its namesake.

According to Variety, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) now holds the title for the biggest album debut since Adele's 25 launched with 3.482 million units in 2015.

It also claims a spot as the sixth highest week for an album since 1991.

Amidst this achievement, the documentary Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour continues to draw millions, with its fourth weekend in cinemas contributing $13.5 million to a North American total of $166 million.

While Taylor's latest album thrives, her romance with Travis Kelce also flourishes.

While she didn't journey to Germany for the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Miami Dolphins, she showed her support from a distance.

On Instagram, Taylor quietly cheered on Travis’s performance in the game by liking another post celebrating the team’s victory. Travis clinched a new team record as the leading receiver with 10,941 yards after the Chiefs' 21-14 win over the Dolphins.

Taylor is gearing up for the next chapter of her The Eras Tour, set to unfold in South America. This commitment will temporarily distance her from Travis due to the ongoing NFL season.

Yet, Travis has a different idea. According to Marca, he's arranging to accompany Taylor to Buenos Aires, Argentina for her shows from November 9 to 11.

Travis has some free time since the Kansas City Chiefs have a bye week. The Chiefs' next game isn't until November 20.
