Furious customers threaten to boycott Target over ‘inclusive’ Christmas range

'Wokeness killing business is the most reliable thing these days.'

Shoppers turn to psychic to help find Christmas gifts

Target has upset some of its shoppers after it recently unveiled its holiday collection, featuring a nutcracker adorned with the Pride flag and a Santa Claus in a wheelchair.

However, the ornaments have caused a stir, prompting political commentator Benny Johnson to comment.

Johnson posted on X, formally known as Twitter, alleging that Target's stock had fallen, attributing it to the retailer's introduction of holiday merchandise.

He said: "Target’s stock has dropped 14 percent YTD. They lost billions in market cap.

"This is what happens when you take a brand that should be for families, but you use it as a propaganda arm for radical ideologies that target children.

“So of course, Target has hired LGBTQIA+ strategist 'Gay Cruella' to rebuild the brand.

"And now they are selling Gay Nutcrackers, and Black Disabled Santa in a Wheelchair. For $63 you can own a 15” wooden gay pride nutcracker.

"Apparently, Target didn’t learn their lesson."

Many of his followers were in agreement, one said: “I’ve boycotted Target. They won’t get $1 from me ever again. I encourage others to do the same.”

Another added: “Wokeness killing business is the most reliable thing these days.”

Meanwhile, others jumped to the store’s defence. One said: "No way y’all are mad at black Santa or disabled Santa." Another concurred: "The boycott is insane, if you don’t like something, don’t buy it. Simple as."

A third added on X: "Why are they against Santa in a wheelchair? I feel it could be sent to children’s hospitals."

Target had previously also faced significant backlash, after Pride month, when some customers were riled up about the retailer selling transgender-friendly swimsuits.
