Sidney Powell could pose a huge threat to Donald Trump after making plea deal

A Donald Trump ally has pleaded guilty to election interference charges in Georgia - now making her a major threat to the former president.

In a shock move, lawyer Sidney Powell pleaded guilty in Georgia and agreed to testify against other defendants, including Trump.

Powell filed federal lawsuits challenging Trump’s 2020 election defeat.

Despite the Trump Campaign disavowing Powell, she remained a Trump ally and met with him in the Oval Office following the November 2020 defeat.

Chris Christie spoke about Powell’s plea deal shortly after it was announced Thursday, claiming it could be a huge problem for the former president.

He told a reporter at an event in New Hampshire: “You don’t give a no-jail plea deal unless that person’s got something very good to say that will help your case against the others.”

Until Powell, others who had agreed to cooperate in the four criminal cases facing Trump were relatively minor figures.

In September, Georgia bail bondsman Scott Hall pleaded guilty in the Georgia elections case and agreed to testify against other defendants.

However, Powell could present a much more serious threat to Trump by discussing first-hand accounts relating to the allegations.

Powell was quick to flock to Trump’s side following the 2020 loss.

She pushed theories about networks of “globalist dictators” and “corporations” working against Trump.
