Side hustlers using artificial intelligence (AI) make $482 more a month than their non-A.I counterparts, according to a recent survey.

New research conducted by credit fintech Self Financial has revealed budding entrepreneurs are stressed about managing their side hustles.

In a survey of 1,000 Americans, the firm discovered that AI could potentially save business people time and money.

According to the poll, the average amount people are earning from their side hustles is $688 a month.

However, it should be noted that around 44.8 percent of those surveyed earn less than $250 a month.

Nearly three in 10 respondents shared that they use their side hustle cash for savings and investments

In comparison, just over seven in 10 admitted they use this money to survive financially amid the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Some 50.1 percent said the experience of managing a side hustle is not a stressful experience for them.

However, those who do feel stress cited time management as the biggest reason they feel this way with one in four Americans agreeing with this.

Around 48.7 percent shared that they work their side hustle more than they do their primary job.

Under a third of respondents admitted that they spend an average of eight hours or more on their side hustle a week.

From the research, side hustlers who utilised AI were able to make more money a month than those who did not

This $482 monthly difference means that these entrepreneurs are likely to be less stressed and manage their time better.

However, Self Financial highlighted that only certain types of business people will be likely to use AI to further their side hustles.

On its website, the financial firm explained: “There are likely other impacts here too.

“Those who are using AI are likely to be keeping up with new technology or involved in the tech space which would typically draw higher salaries than a side hustle involving courier services for example.”
