Shirley MacLaine spotted after manicure just months before Hollywood legend turns 90
Legendary actress Shirley MacLaine made a candid appearance in Malibu as she was treated to a day of pampering while the countdown begins to her major milestone.
Shirley MacLaine thrilled fans with an unexpected appearance at Kristy’s in Malibu, California when she joined a friend for lunch.
Earlier in the day, the 89-year-old enjoyed some pampering as she headed off to get a manicure before joining her pal at a celebrity hotspot overlooking Zuma Beach.
Shirley is evidently a devoted customer at the Malibu restaurant as this marks her second visit in less than a week.
Flaunting her new nails to her friend over lunch, the Hollywood legend donned a casual look for the outing with an oversized purple sweater pinpointing her affection for Malibu with the town’s name inscribed across the chest.
She paired the comfy look with dark blue fleece slacks and bright red trainers as she strolled through the afternoon sun on her way through the car park.

To keep a low profile, Shirley also donned a pair of large oval sunglasses with a slight tint to keep the sun out of her eyes.
Although she seemed slightly frail, the Bewitched actress was in good spirits as she enjoyed the Malibu sunshine with her pal.
The outing comes as the five-month countdown to her 90th birthday commences with the cinema legend set to hit the major milestone in April.
2024 will also mark Shirley’s seventh decade in the acting industry, after starting her career as a Broadway understudy in 1954, and 40 years since she won her first Oscar for Terms of Endearment.

In the decades since, Shirley has racked up a sensational six Academy Award nominations, six Golden Globe wins and an Emmy for her role in Gypsy in My Soul.
In recognition of her incredible contribution to the performing arts industry the Oscar winner received the Lifetime Achievement award at the Industry Dance Awards and Cancer Benefit Show, with her sister-in-law Annette Bening presenting the award.
While the aging star now requires the assistance of a health aide, she rarely shies away from public appearances and walked the red carpet solo at the October event in a stylish embroidered blazer and black slacks with her platinum hair neatly cascading around her face.
