Sandra Bullock's sister hails actress 'best caretaker' for Bryan Randall in moving tribute

Sandra Bullock’s sister Gesine Bullock-Prado had paid tribute to her sibling following the death of the Miss Congeniality star’s longtime partner Bryan Randall.

Randall was confirmed to have died aged 57 following a private three-year battle with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease and motor neurone disease.

In a tribute posted on Instagram, Bullock-Prado, 53, told her followers: "I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon."

The chef continued about his health battles and her sister’s role: “ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home."

She finished by saying: “Rest in peace, Bryan. In lieu of flowers, please donate to ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital.”

The celebrity cook and TV personality posted a link in her bio to the ALS Association urging people to donate to the charity, which is at the forefront of global research and helps Americans living with the debilitating condition.

Bullock-Prado was inundated with messages underneath the poignant post.

One follower called joythebaker wrote: "Sending you and your family so much love."

While fresheggsdaily commented: "So sorry for your family's loss. How heartbreaking."

A third called momccormick7 posted: "So very sorry. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Rest In Peace Bryan."

Randall’s family posted a statement confirming his death, which read: "It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS.

"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request."

Hollywood star Bullock and Randall were together from 2015 until his death. She was previously married to Jesse James between 2005 and 2010.
