Priscilla Presley shares concerns Michael Jackson married daughter over Elvis 'intrigue'
Lisa-Marie Presley and Michael Jackson were married for two years - but her mom Priscilla admits she believes he proposed to be connected to Elvis.

Priscilla Presley has candidly confessed she had worries about daughter Lisa-Marie’s marriage to Michael Jackson.
Lisa-Marie, who died in January this year, was married to Jackson from 1994-1996, but came with concerns from her mother Priscilla, who believed the eccentric singer was more intrigued by his wife’s father, Elvis Presley.
Appearing in an interview with Piers Morgan on UK’s Talk TV, Priscilla admitted she felt that Lisa-Marie’s familial connection to the Blue Suede Shoes icon was a motivating factor in the relationship.
“I always felt that Michael Jackson loved Elvis, or respected Elvis, so I always felt that having the name, associated with the name with his daughter, I was concerned,” she told the host, adding the ‘never got to know’ her son-in-law, and would’ve preferred they never got married.

Lisa Marie grew up a fan of the Jackson Five, and first met Jackson when she was just five years old.
They would reconnect 20 years later, when in 1992 they met again in Los Angeles, California, when Lisa Marie was married to Danny Keough.
She would later become a support system to the star when he was publicly accused of child molestation in 1993.
According to biographers of Jackson, he proposed to her over the phone, at a time her relationship with Keough - whom she had two children, Riley and Benjamin, with - was falling apart.

They eloped to the Dominican Republic in 1994, having a 15-minute ceremony shortly after her divorce from Keough was finalized.
She would later appear in his You Are Not Alone music video.
Priscilla added things began to crumble between her daughter and her husband when Jackson - who died in 2009 - would ‘disappear for days on end’ with little to no explanation.
Priscilla told Morgan: “She said, ‘Mom, I'm really concerned,’ this is while they were married, and she said, ‘I never see him. He is always gone.’”
Lisa-Marie and Jackson were separated in December 1995, with their divorce finalized the following year.
