'Everyone is hurt': Princess Kate has put reconciliation with Prince Harry 'on ice'

Royal expert suggests a reconciliation is possible, but the in-laws are focusing on themselves.

Prince Harry and the Waleses could well improve their distant relationship - but right now Prince William and Princess Kate are putting the issue "on ice", an expert claims.

Shannon Felton Space has a positive attitude on the rift between Princess Kate, Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

She thinks of Kate as a person - not just a public figure - who is well-rounded and multi-faceted. And most importantly, kind.

When asked if the rift is permanent, Spence told Fox News Digital: "That’s counter to everything I know about Catherine. She is not cold or hard.

"She is a kind person. She cares deeply about Harry and about family in general. They are all hurt, but she knows they are family."

Spence makes goes beyond the surface, honing in on Kate’s value system. When looking at everyone involved — William, Kate, Harry and Meghan — Spence believes it will take time: “No one has closed their mind to reconciliation, they’ve just put it on ice.”

In some cases, friendly distance is helpful. Spence adds: “It seems like everyone has quit pushing, and they are just all giving the rift some space. I don’t think you can measure these things. They were a unit that has split into two conflicting camps. Everyone is hurt.”

And, with this being the “busy season” for royal engagements, everyone’s schedules are full.

Harry and Meghan were just in Germany for the Invictus Games. Now that they are back stateside, they are working on a project to help students in Nigeria.

William was just in NYC for his Earthshot Project and has recently contributed to a children’s book. Kate has had two royal engagements this week, visiting a textile Mill in Leeds and a school in Kent.

And we’re not wrong in thinking they have other things going on. Royal expert Christopher Andersen, author of The King, agrees: “They (William and Kate) have neither the time nor the energy to waste on trying to lure Harry back into the royal fold.”

In the past, Kate acted as a mediator, but Andersen believes those days to be over. He added: “The Prince and Princess of Wales are just soldiering on.”
