This prospective CEO would report directly to the royal couple, marking a departure from the longstanding practice of staff answering to private secretaries who wielded significant influence behind palace scenes.

This shift has been characterized as a "revolutionary move" by a royal insider, raising questions about whether other royals, such as the King and Queen, will follow suit.

Kensington Palace has hired the high-profile recruitment firm Odgers Berndtson to find them a suitable fit.

The job description describes how the CEO will serve “as the strategic interface to Buckingham Palace, to align The Royal Highnesses' priorities with those in support of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen,” meaning they will also deal with King Charles III and and their staff on behalf of the Waleses.

While the exact salary remains undisclosed, it is understood the CEO's annual pay will surpass that of the couple's private secretaries, according to the MailOnline.

Earlier this year, the Prince and Princess of Wales elevated their social media presence by sharing professionally edited reels of significant royal events, including the King's Coronation.

Rebecca English told Palace Confidential that the couple's “social media blitz” would win over young people, saying: “Support [for the Royal Family] is really rock solid amongst the older generation, but not so much amongst the younger generation.

“So the Waleses have been looking at this for a while and they've really ramped it up since Easter. 'How do we tell our story to these people? How do we engage them?’’’

However, she cast concern over how well the highly curated new videos will lure in the support of the younger generations.

“These social media clips are almost too well put together, there's a lot of jazzy music that goes with it,” she said.
