Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's odds of becoming senior royals 'dead on arrival'

EXCLUSIVE: Myriad problems are working against the sisters, one royal commentator has claimed.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's prospects of becoming senior royals are "dead on arrival", one royal commentator claims.

Speaking to Daily Express US, To Di For Daily host Kinsey Schofield claims there's simply too much working against them at this point in time.

According to a palace insider, who spoke to OK! Magazine, the Palace is “short-staffed” and bogged down with a “heavy workload” and it’s being suggested that Beatrice and Princess could sign on as “part-time” working royals to help carry out engagements.

But, Schofield just does not see this happening, saying, “If Prince Harry's family was likely not to make the cut... I highly doubt that Beatrice and Eugenie would be a priority.”

Daily Express US asked Schofield what the odds are that Beatrice and Eugenie would be promoted to senior royals, with her saying: “Between Fergie telling media that the ghost of Queen Elizabeth II visits her corgis, Prince Andrew's fall from grace, and Princess Eugenie's blind loyalty to the very destructive Harry and Meghan... I'd say that this plan is dead on arrival.”

She explains her reasoning: “The King's intention to slim down the monarchy has been one of the worst kept secrets. If Harry's family was likely not to make the cut... I highly doubt that Beatrice and Eugenie would be a priority.”

While the Royal Family may be short-staffed, Schofield believes Prince William and Princess Kate are pulling their weight and then some: “I think that the Prince and Princess of Wales have proven what a force they can be over the last few years. Whether together or separate at royal engagements... they command large crowds and positive press. They don't need Harry and Meghan Markle's star power.”

And, it’s not personal, it’s more about need, Schofield opines, adding: “While I think Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are likely very kind and accomplished... I don't think they are necessary additions.“

The royal commentator circles back to Charles’ initial plan and why adding people won’t work: “Slimming down the monarchy is more than a financial decision. The less individuals there are to wrangle or manage... the less drama. The easier the narrative is to control. After several turbulent years, the royal family needs some peace and stability. Unfortunately, Beatrice and Eugenie come with baggage named Andrew and Fergie.”

Schofield added: “I don’t believe that there is any truth to this rumor.”
