Prince William and Princess Kate are 'better at being royals' and 'playing the game'

Prince William and Princess Kate have been picking up more duties since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resigned from royal life.

And the Waleses make it look easy, but that may just be the royal way, according Brooke Siffrinn, co-host of popular podcast Even the Royals.

There have been reports that the Prince and Princess have struggled with the extra responsibilities, but pairing are all smiles at engagements.

According to Brooke, William and Kate are “better at being royals” than being non-royals - it's their thing. She added: “They are better at playing the game of being royals.”

Daily Express US checked in with Brooke to dig a little deeper and go past what we’re seeing on the surface level.

Brooke said William and Kate seem to have a handle on things and referenced Queen Elizabeth's famous 'Never complain, never explain' motto.

She said of William and Harry: "That was kind of drilled into their heads when they were kids. William and Charles very much subscribed to that idea and Harry never did.

"And I think William is very much like, 'I understand that I am a royal. I am to keep my emotions to myself. I am supposed to play the game the way it is supposed to be played'.”

For William, being a royal is ingrained, and for Kate, she’s trained - but a natural. They are applauded for their decision-making, with Brooke saying: "I think he and Kate are just better at doing that and that’s why I think the media is easier on them, well, one of the reasons."

Brooke also believes there is a double standard when it comes to Kate and Meghan.

She added: “Yes, it’s a huge double standard. I don’t know why she has been painted as such a villain, but Kate has definitely had an easier go of it, that’s for sure.”
