Prince William's baby cousin tipped to take up royal work as expert reveals telling signs

The teenager is the late Queen's youngest granddaughter and she could be set to play more of a prominent role for The Firm in years to come.

So far Lady Louise Windsor has managed to keep a relatively low profile on the royal stage compared to older cousins Prince William and Prince Harry.

But that might not be the case for much longer if one royal expert’s tip-off is to be believed.

At 19 years old, Lady Louise is the eldest child of Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh - and she is also the youngest granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth

Former Mail on Sunday Assistant Editor Kate Mansey discussed Lady Louise - who is 16th in line to the British throne - and the bigger future role she might play for the royals on The Royal Beat on True Royalty TV.

She said: “I think Lady Louise would; from people I speak to in the Palace, Lady Louise I think is quite willing to do that.

“I remember going to some Guildhall event and she was with her father, and very competently circulating talking to dignitaries and foreign royals…

“She is at university at the moment; there’s plenty of time for them to do that.”

In August Lady Louise was branded a "down-to-earth" royal as she was spotted driving a second-hand Volkswagen Polo she reportedly saved up for while working at a local garden centre earning $8.28 an hour.

The young royal worked the tills, greeted customers and pruned plants at the centre over her summer holidays.

A source told the Sun: "The idea of taking a summer job came from Louise herself, who had been saving for her first car which she could use to practice on the private roads of the Windsor estate.

"The amount she saved from her first job was matched by her parents, and she bought a second-hand blue VW Polo and went on to pass her driving test first time."

The King's niece left school last year with four A-Levels in English, History, Politics and Drama. Her exams secured her a position on the English degree course at St Andrews University in Fife, Scotland.

Lady Louise also turned down the royal title she was entitled to use when she reached the age of 18. Her cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie both adopted their titles as their dad Prince Andrew reportedly wanted them to have full HRH status.

A close family friend claimed Lady Louise had no wish to use her full title in everyday life. They said: "Louise is a lovely, genuine, down-to-earth girl with no sense of entitlement.

"She does not see any need to use the 'adornments', as she calls them, which can often attract more attention than they are worth.”
