Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lost their 'Royal Highness' titles - but that does not matter because their favorite titles will always be mom and dad, says a friend.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex is described as "the best mom", while hands-on Harry "is always on the floor playing with the kids".

The friend, speaking to People magazine, said they are “loving life as parents of two” and are “such a team”.

Harry and Meghan moved to the US in 2020, leaving the UK behind.

While they've pulled back on their royal responsibilities, they are still making public appearances, like co-hosting a forum in NYC for World Mental Health Day. Meghan and Harry talked about how important becoming parents has been to them.

Meghan started off the forum by saying being a mom is the "most important thing in [her] entire life".

She also talked about parenting in the digital age, saying: “I feel fortunate that our children are quite young, so this isn’t in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened by how it’s continuing to change and this will be in front of us.”

Harry added: “I think for us, with kids growing up in a digital age, the priority is to turn pain into purpose and provide as much support as well as a spotlight and a platform for parents.

In March 2023, Harry talked about his father being unaffectionate toward him as a youth and his own parenting style: ”It leaves me in the position how as a father, I have two kids of my own, making sure that I smother them with love and affection. But in the sense that I as a father feel a huge responsibility to ensure that I don't pass on any traumas or negative experiences I've had. And that's work, that's putting in the work, and daily, being conscious of my behavior, of my reactions to both of my kids."

He credited therapy with giving him the tools needed to be a good dad: "And there are times when I catch myself in a moment when I should be smothering them with that love and in that moment, I might not be, reminding myself [to].

"I wouldn't have been as aware of it had I not done the therapy and work that I've done."
