'I'm sick of people not following this simple etiquette on planes that everyone used to'

One TikTok creator has hit out at a common travel behavior she claims plane passengers never used to do. 

TikToker, Mikayla from Boston (@mickeyyyt) has posted a video that has now gone viral, complaining about passengers who don't exit the plane row by row.

Mikayla filmed herself and a friend sitting in their seats. The aisle is full of people who are coming from the rows behind them. She looks back at the camera with a look of disdain. She and her friend shake their heads in disgust.

There are other passengers nearby who clearly feel the same and are looking on annoyed at the ever-growing line behind them.

“Aren’t we all going to the same place?!?!”, she captioned her video. 

The video may be only seven seconds long but it’s clearly made a mark. 

Over 3 million people have viewed the video and mostly agreed with Mikayla.

One commented: "I will get off when it's my row! I will get in front of them."

Another commented, "I experienced the same thing recently and I wasn't in the aisle so there was nothing I could do but wait for the aisle seat person to go."

A confused flyer wrote: "The fact that boarding is such an announced and guided process and getting off feels so chaotic".

Fellow passenger and TikToker, Sarah Johnston (@sarahjohnstonturner) who was also on the same flight, was just as astonished at the lack of airplane etiquette.  She also posted a video showing her fellow passengers doing what they want. 

She wrote over the top of her video, 'Even the pilot beside me hadn't seen this one before...'.

Some of the comments on her TikTok site were equally as scathing: One viewer wrote, "Flight attendants should exit people row by row".

Another said, "It's madness when you land.  Some poeple get all pissy and push by and rush to get to customs and their bags that you have to wait for".
