Bachelor star slams Gerry Turner for dating return 'before late wife's body was cold'

Bachelor star Nick Viall has hit out at Gerry Turner for dating so soon after his wife's death, saying her body was "barely cold".

He made the comments on his podcast, The Viall Files, where he said it was "tough" to watch Gerry on the show.

Gerry, who appeared on Golden Bachelor, told viewers he hadn't been kissed since his wife died in 2017.

He's now chosen Theresa Nist as his new partner and they plan to marry in January on an ABC special.

But Nick, who was The Bachelor in 2017, wasn't impressed.

He said: "It's tough to watch an entire season of Gerry selling this entire narrative that all he's been doing since the passing of his wife was cry, play pickleball, and occasionally [have] this weird one-on-one moment with some hand lotion.

"And in reality, we come to find out that the body was barely cold before he started dating."

Nick added. "And it opens up a lot of questions about what was going on."

Nick stated that he isn't shaming Gerry for dating again, but has "mixed feelings" about the story being told on the show.

He said: "The show itself sometimes tries to craft a narrative about their leads that even the leads are a little uncomfortable with because it almost feels like, 'I'm not that squeaky clean,' type of thing.

"Because no one is, right, you know? So I think sometimes that is the fault of the show, this kind of narrative. He was allowed to date. He didn't cheat on anyone from what we know."

Recently, it came out that Gerry had been dating after his wife's death and before his time on the show.

It's claimed that Gerry had a three-year relationship with a woman who says she was dumped because she gained 10 pounds.

Carolyn, who is 14 years younger than Gerry, claims she lived with the reality star for over a year.

Gerry responded to these claims in the Los Angeles Times, saying: "I don't have time to reflect on comments like this.

"My only response is that I have so many positive things in my life right now. I have the wonderful love of Theresa, my partner," and added that he is "happy to look forward."
