NCIS’ Pauley Perrette almost unrecognizable in early season of Frasier
NCIS star Pauley Perrette looked very different when she appeared in Frasier at the start of her career.

NCIS’ Pauley Perrette featured in the classic sitcom Frasier and is almost unrecognizable.
CBS fans adored actress Perrette as gothic forensic scientist Abby Sciuto who had been in the police procedural from the very beginning.
Despite her stand-out appearance with her jet-black hair and dark clothes, she was surprisingly positive and often the light relief when episodes got heavy.
So when she made her sudden exit in the season 15 finale, many were left upset at her departure and still miss her presence today.
But way before the days of naval and marine corps-related crimes, actress Perrette had taken on a very different role.

The 54-year-old kickstarted her career in 1994, appearing in an episode of ABC Afterschool Specials.
It wasn’t until a few years on that Perrette landed herself in a minor role in the award-winning Cheers spin-off Frasier.

Minus the 30-year age gap between her character then and the actress now, the former NCIS star looked very different.

In the scene, Perrette is seen with light colored hair, presumably more similar to her natural blonde locks.
She is also sporting a bob haircut with more natural looking make-up so is worlds away from the eccentric style of Abby Sciuto.
The image shows Rebecca taking the orders of Frasier and his brother Niall, played by Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce respectively.
She did also make another brief appearance the year before in Frasier in the episode The Impossible Dream.
Perrette had taken on a lot of minor roles prior to making it to the big time in NCIS.
Some of these included The Naked Truth, Murder One, Early Edition and Veronica’s Closet.
In 2020, the actress announced she was retiring from acting after 40 years.
