Miley Cyrus has returned with with a brand new song about her 'crazy' days.

Her latest track, 'Used To Be Young', marks her first release since her album 'Endless Summer Vacation'.

The 30-year-old artist reminisces about her wilder days on this track, singing about the times she was known for being "crazy" and "fun."

Her distinctive voice carries lines like, "I know I used to be crazy, I know I used to be fun, you say I used to be wild, I say I used to be young," showcasing her evolution over the years.

The song's purposefully simple video features Miley wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt beneath a sparkling red mini-dress, symbolizing her transition from youthful to her adult years in the music industry.

“Used To Be Young” released on August 25, a few days after Miley shared some of the lyrics on her Instagram.

The Instagram post teasing some of the lyrics to her latest song was captioned by Miley with an explanation of what the song meant to her.

“These lyrics were written almost 2 years ago at the beginning of my ESV. It was at a time I felt misunderstood, I have spent the last 18 months painting a sonic picture of my perspective to share with you,” the singer explained.

Miley continued, “The time has arrived to release a song that I could perfect forever. Although my work is done, this song will continue to write itself everyday. The fact it remains unfinished is a part of its beauty. That is my life at this moment ….. unfinished yet complete.

Miley's new song was teased with posters across the country, displaying lyrics from her hit songs along with a snippet from "Used To Be Young."

These posters included lyrics from “Wrecking Ball,” “Party in the USA,” and “Flowers.”

A few of the posters suggested a nod to her legendary twerking moment alongside Robin Thicke during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, with Miley wearing a recreation of that outfit.

In an earlier interview with British Vogue, Miley explained how the song's inspiration came about from a suggestion for a club track, despite her evolved lifestyle away from the party scene due to her two years of sobriety.

“It was like, you know, the standard f***** up in the club track. And I was like, ‘I’m two years sober. That’s not where I spend my time, you know,” Miley told Vogue.

Miley concluded, “You’re more likely to catch me and my friends literally walking through rose gardens or going to a museum. It’s not about being self-serious. I’m just evolved.”
