While performing at her Las Vegas show this past Friday, Adele unexpectedly shifted the conversation to discuss Miley. According to a video taken by a fan and then shared by Miley on social media, Adele admitted fondness for the emotionally charged song.

"I am obsessed with Miley Cyrus' new song," Adele told the crowd. "I've always been a big Miley Cyrus fan."

Adorned in a dress with black sequins, Adele reiterated she loved Miley. She told her fans that she thinks the new song is phenomenal and Miley is legendary.



Hearing Adele's endorsement delighted the one-time Disney sensation, who promptly reposted a clip of Adele's remarks to her social media audience. The Independent reported Miley then sent a note to Adele, divulging the genuine muse behind the song's lyrics.

"I thought of you often while writing this song - always hoped that you would love it," Miley said. "This means the world to me. I love you. Mission accomplished."

Furthermore, Miley disclosed plans to launch an upcoming series titled Used to Be Young.



In an earlier social media update, Miley indicated that her new song is a tribute to past selves and a toast to the future.

"I feel proud when reflecting on my past and joyful when thinking about the future," she explained.

Miley further attributed the song to her devoted followers who transform her aspirations into tangible experiences daily.

Making its debut August 25, Used to Be Young was crafted by Miley, in collaboration with Gregory Aldae Hein and Michael Pollack.
