Melania Trump criticized for ‘strategic move' working with org that had issues with Donald
As Melania Trump gears up to make a rare public appearance to speak at the National Archives, some people not on board with it have criticized her decision.
Melania Trump is set to speak at the National Archives where 25 people from 25 different countries will be sworn in as American citizens.
The immigrant naturalization ceremony will take place in front of the Constitution as well as other founding documents of the United States.
Melania’s decision to speak at the ceremony comes as a surprise for some as the National Archives was recently not happy with Donald Trump.
Certain people find the Former First Lady’s future appearance odd due to her husband's legal scuffle with the organization.
Starting in May 2021, the agency continually asked that Trump release documents that he may have kept after the end of his presidency.

The National Archives ultimately had to involve the Department of Justice in their endeavor to obtain the documents. Furthermore, in a search that took place at Mar-A-Lago in 2022, the Archives uncovered boxes of extremely confidential files, which resulted in continuous legal drama for the ex-president.
Melania’s minimal public speaking appearances has made some people question her motives for speaking at the National Archives even more.
One person not on board with her decision is former friend and aide to Melania, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.
Their relationship was no longer on good terms after Wolkoff wrote her 2020 memoir, Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady.

On X (formerly Twitter), Wolkoff had some words to say. She wrote: “The hypocrisy of Melania Trump hosting a naturalization event at the National Archives (where Donald is under investigation) is right up there with her so-called Be Best anti-bullying platform (where Donald is Bully #1). This is a strategic move on Donald & Melania’s part.”
She continued: “Melania is a vessel of complicity & distraction trying to create a stark contrast from their reality. The Trump’s [sic] ‘actions’ contradict their so-called ‘beliefs and values.
“As a mother and wife and someone who cares deeply about our democracy and American values, I know Melania Trump, and she doesn’t care about US.”
