The Sussexes have looked content making public appearances in their new home – the US.

However, expert Darren Stanton has suggested that the couple has made a big change in how they interact with each other while making public appearances.

"When they started dating and became more established as an official couple, they were very affectionate in public, almost more affectionate than William and Kate. But I feel that they have toned it down a bit in recent times. I have seen their engaged eye contact has decreased and they aren't as tactile with one another.

While they do love each other and they will do anything to support one another, we tend not to see them being as openly passionate. Despite this, the pair clearly have huge levels of respect for each other, and are there for each other through everything."

Mr Stanton compared the Sussexes' body language to that of the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate.

He added: "William and Kate are a very strong couple, and their relationship has continued to evolve and grow even stronger over the years. They started off as independent students who found true love.

"They were sweethearts, and we still see that side to them now. An important thing I have seen over the years is that both their levels of confidence and independence - in public and private - have really developed. We have never seen senior members of the Royal family be so affectionate with one another in the public eye.

"If we look back at photographs of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, we would never have seen them holding hands or being tactile with each other. This shows how in tune William and Kate are with each other on an emotional level. They're also not afraid to be open and honest through their body gestures about how they feel.

"They've really broken the mold, and there's a level of humor, playfulness, and mischievousness to them when they want to be - which is really refreshing to see."

Harry and Meghan were spotted holding hands during their recent appearance at the 2023 Invictus Games.
