Meghan Markle ‘considering role in Kevin Costner’s The Bodyguard 2 movie'
The Duchess of Sussex and former actress is said to be weighing up whether to appear in a possible sequel to the 1992 smash hit.

Meghan Markle is reportedly considering starring in a proposed sequel to the 1992 box office hit The Bodyguard.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, is said to be contemplating making a return to acting as part of the $100million deal she and her husband Prince Harry struck with Netflix back in 2020 through their film and television company Archewell Productions.
There are claims Meghan could be taking on the lead role in a potential The Bodyguard sequel, playing a similar part to the one portrayed by late singer Whitney Houston.
The original movie saw Whitney playing a famous singer called Rachel Marron, who enlists seasoned bodyguard and former secret service agent Frank Farmer (played by Kevin Costner) after she gets a sinister stalker tracking her every move.
After a frosty start, sparks fly between Rachel and Frank before their relationship becomes romantic but this comes with its own dangers.
Kevin, 68, who also served as a producer on the original movie is said to be pitching the sequel with Meghan apparently interested.
"The only thing Kevin loves more than an underdog like Meghan is a box office hit," a source told New Idea magazine.
Kevin previously admitted he had wanted to do a follow-up to The Bodyguard with Princess Diana taking on the lead role.
The Oscar winner and Yellowstone star confirmed back in 2019 there had been discussions with the late royal to appear in The Bodyguard 2.

Kevin told ITV’s Lorraine how Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, had been “really instrumental” and “supportive” to Princess Diana starring in the film.
He said: “Something I really admired about Sarah was how open she was to that idea and how supportive she was of that idea and then clearly how much she liked Diana.
“And when we lost her that was tragic but incredibly tragic and private to me, actually because I didn’t talk about it.”
Kevin said the only reason the story had come out about Princess Diana and The Bodyguard sequel was because someone else had spoken it.
Former actress Meghan, who found fame as attorney Rachel Zane in the legal drama series Suits, has foregone acting projects for her philanthropic endeavors alongside her husband Prince Harry.
However, she has kept her hand in show business after appearing in the four-part Netflix documentary, where she and Prince Harry gave an insight into their romance and the intense media scrutiny they faced.
Meghan also lent her voice to Disney Plus’ documentary Elephants back in 2020.
Moreover, both she and Prince Harry have a production company through which they are working on new projects.
